The plan of salvation is a journey of FAITH that leads one to heaven. It begins with …
FORGIVENESS: Everyone has sinned and needs God’s forgivness (Rom. 3:23). God’s forgiveness is in Jesus only (Eph. 1:7a).
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Ephesians 1:7a, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins ….”
AVAILABLE: God’s forgiveness is available for all (John 3:16), but His forgiveness is not automatic (Mat. 7:21a).
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Matthew 7:21a, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven ….”
IMPOSSIBLE: It is impossible for us to go to heaven on our own (Eph. 2:8).
Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
TURN: “Turn” means repent, change directions. To turn means to turn from something … sin and self (Luke 13:3b). It also means to turn to Someone … trust Christ only (John 14:6). And here is the greatest news of all … (Rom. 10:9).
Luke 13:3b, “… ye shall all likewise perish”
John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
HEAVEN: Heaven is a place where we will be with God forever (John 14:3). Eternal life begins now with Jesus (John 10:10b).
John 14:3, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
John 10:10b, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
To have the forgiveness of sins and a home in heaven, you must place your FAITH in Jesus Christ alone! Follow this simple prayer asking Jesus to save you.
“Dear Lord Jesus: I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You arose from the grave. I now ask you to forgive me of my sins and to save my soul. Amen.”
If you have placed your FAITH in Jesus Christ as personal savior, you need to be in a local church where you can express your faith and where you can get involved in the work of Christ. We very much want to hear of your faith in Christ, and we want to minister to you as a local congregation.
