Dear Woodland Heights Church Family, We Serve A Risen Savior.
I trust that you had a Glorious Easter with your family even though some of them may not have been close enough to hug and embrace. But even through this Corona virus we who know Christ The Risen Savior are greatly blessed.
We are blessed with blood family that loves us, with a church family that loves you but most of all we are blessed with a Savior who loves us so much that he died to save us and gave us life eternal.
These verses came to mind as I write this letter:
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
No one ever loved you like Jesus !!
As we go about the next few days or weeks let us not be idle. My Mom used to remind that “idle hands are the devils workshop”, and that is exactly what would please the devil most of all. But let us be busy working for God and pleasing Him.
Let us start our day by inviting God into it. Lets begin with Bible Study and prayer. Lets pray for all people, the lost, the sick, the lonely, those living by themselves, those who have no one to come visit. Pray for your church, your church family and yes for your pastor. Lets end the day by thanksgivings to God who let us live through it.
Then from home lets put legs to our prayers. Call a lost person (we all know some in our family and community) and begin a continuing conversation about church, but don’t be pushy but be kind. Invite them to worship with us when we can return to church.
Since we can’t visit in person use e-mail, text message. (Old fashion U S Mail still works.) Let people know where they can join us in worship on TV, Internet, and our web-site. A list of these were in my last two letters.
Let me thank you for your giving during this time, Please send tithes and offerings to Sister Jean.
Some times I begin to think “Lord how much more can I and my church family go through” then he reminds me of these scriptures:
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
May God richly bless and keep you,
I love and miss you all
